Laterite nickel ore washing consists of two operations: crushing and separation. The crushing operation mainly uses the flushing and infiltration of water to expand and break the clay, and sometimes it is supplemented by mechanical impact, stirring and stripping to accelerate the crushing process. The separation operation mainly separates the clay from the ore particles according to the particle size. According to the particle size characteristics of the original ore, the separation operation can be wet screening or hydraulic classification, or both.
