The primary equipment in this quartz sand production line consists of a jaw crusher, cone crusher, impact crusher, sand washer, hydrocyclone, dewatering screen, and wastewater treatment system. Depending on specific requirements, magnetic separation, flotation, and acid leaching equipment can be incorporated into the process to produce high-purity quartz sand.

1. Coarse Crushing: Large blocks of raw quartz ore (with diameters potentially exceeding 400 mm) extracted from the mine are first fed by a feeder into a jaw crusher for primary crushing, reducing the ore to a particle size of 50–100 mm.

2. Medium and Fine Crushing: The material resulting from coarse crushing undergoes secondary crushing using a cone crusher or impact crusher, further reducing the particle size to 5–10 mm. Finally, the material undergoes fine crushing and shaping using a sand-making machine (such as a vertical shaft impact crusher) to produce sand particles that closely meet the final product specifications.

3. Screening: After each crushing stage, a vibrating screen is used to classify the material. Material that meets the required particle size specifications proceeds to the next processing stage, while oversized coarse particles are returned to the crusher for re-crushing, thereby establishing a closed-circuit loop that ensures particle size uniformity.

4. Washing: The quartz sand, having undergone crushing and screening, is fed into a spiral sand washer or trough-type washer. Through the combined action of water addition, agitation, and mechanical force, surface iron films, adhering substances, and muddy impurities are effectively stripped away.

5. Desliming: Using a hydrocyclone or spiral classifier, fine slimes (typically particles smaller than 200 mesh) are separated from the washed ore slurry based on differences in particle size and specific gravity. This process prevents the fine slimes from interfering with subsequent purification stages.
