The silica stone material is initially crushed by the coarse crusher, and then, the produced coarse material is conveyed by the belt conveyor to the fine crusher for further crushing. The finely crushed stone material enters the vibrating screen to screen out two kinds of stones, which meets the requirements of the sand making machine’s feeding size. The gravel is packed into the machine-made sand and the other part is returned to the fine crusher.
Part of the stones that enter the sand making machine is made into silica sand, which is cleaned by the sand washing machine (optional) and made into finished sand, and the other part is crushed again by the sand machine.
High-purity quartz sand is purified from ordinary quartz sand. Its impurity content is very low, its performance is stable, the industry demand is large, and the full use of resources can be realized. Therefore, it is very important to develop the preparation process of high-purity quartz sand.
Preparation process of high-purity silica sand
The purification of quartz sand is mainly to remove small or trace impurities in it to obtain high-purity quartz sand. Commonly used processes include scrubbing, gravity separation, magnetic separation, flotation, and acid leaching.
The mechanical force and the peeling force between the sand particles are used to remove impurities, iron, cement and mineral mud on the surface of the quartz sand. Scrubbing enables the quartz sand minerals to effectively discharge a part of impurities in the early stage, clean the surface of the quartz sand particles, so as to smoothly carry out the subsequent purification work.
Gravity selection is to screen minerals according to their gravity. Due to the difference in density, the mineral particles are affected differently by fluid force and mechanical force in the medium, resulting in loose stratification, and the ore particles are separated.
