Quartz Sand Purification Steps
Quartz sand ore is crushed and processed into coarse sand by a sand making machine.
A vibrating screen/drum screen is used to classify the quartz sand, separating products that meet the particle size requirements.
A spiral classifier/hydrocyclone is used to wash and remove dirt and fine powder impurities from the quartz sand using gravity or centrifugal force.
A washing machine (ultrasonic + agitation type) is used: Through strong mechanical agitation and friction between sand particles, the thin film of iron and adhering impurities on the quartz surface are peeled off. The “cavitation effect” generated by ultrasound creates strong shock waves and micro-jet streams that violently impact the surface of the quartz particles, thereby removing trace impurities.
