Recycling and reuse of quartz waste

In the process of quartz sand beneficiation, purification and deep processing of quartz, tailings, and waste mud will inevitably be produced. A large number of silica sand waste tailings occupy land, pollute the environment, and the problem of comprehensive utilization of tailings has become increasingly prominent.

Quartz stone is a hard, wear-resistant, chemically stable non-metallic mineral. Its main mineral component is quartz, and its content is as high as 94%. In industry, quartz stone is often crushed and processed into quartz sand, or quartz sand with higher purity.

Quartz sand is made of natural quartz ore. After the quartz stone mined from the mine is processed, it is processed by grinding, screening, and washing. The appearance is polygonal, spherical, pure white, and has the characteristics of high mechanical strength, strong pollution interception ability, and good acid resistance. The main component of quartz sand is SiO2. After processing, it can be divided into ordinary sand, refined sand, high-purity sand, and other categories.

Judging from the chemical composition of quartz sand waste, it can be widely used in the production of building materials, and can also meet the requirements for the content of various components of quartz sand for grade C refractory and grade 3 and 4 foundries. It can be used for cement, fired bricks, and new wall materials.

Quartz sand waste brick products have the functions of lightweight, compression resistance, heat preservation, antifreeze, environmental protection, fire prevention, sound insulation, etc., and can be used as an exterior wall partition, filling, thermal insulation, and decorative wall materials.
