quartz sand filter material

In water treatment, quartz sand filter media has strict technical requirements. First, the sum of its crushing rate and wear rate must be controlled within 1.5%, which is a mass-based calculation. Secondly, the density of the filter media should reach 2.55g/cm³ or above, but special requirements in special cases may be different. The quartz sand filter media must be pure and must not contain visible soil, mica or organic impurities. The mud content must not exceed 1%, and the light material (density less than 2g/cm³) content should be less than 0.2%. In addition, the loss on ignition cannot exceed 0.7% to ensure the chemical stability of the filter media.

For particle size, the specifications of quartz sand filter media must meet two conditions: one is that the part smaller than the specified lower limit particle size should not exceed 3%, and the other is that the part larger than the upper limit particle size should not exceed 2%. The particle size selection of the filter media should be customized and determined by the user unit according to actual needs.
