Why use drum screen to screen gold placer

Why is it not recommended to use a vibrating screen for sand screening?

Frequent replacement of equipment wearing parts Due to the short service life of the vibrating screen, wearing parts often wear out quickly and need to be replaced frequently. This not only increases the difficulty of maintenance, but also increases the operating costs of mining enterprises.

The vibrating screen has a large swing amplitude during the screening process, so it is easy to fail, causing the screening process to be interrupted.

The vibrating screen has certain advantages in screening very fine materials, but if it is used to screen common gold placer, the vibrating screen is prone to blockage of the screen holes, and there are relatively more impurities adhering to the gold placer, resulting in some dust or gold that cannot be screened out.

The vibrating screen occupies less space than the shaftless drum screen and the integrated washing and screening machine. However, the shaftless drum screen and the integrated washing and screening machine generally do not need to make a cement foundation when selecting gold placer, while the vibrating screen usually needs to make a solid cement foundation due to the large vibration during operation. The mobile operation of the equipment needs to be considered at the gold placer beneficiation site.

On the whole, the shaftless drum screen and the integrated ore washing and screening machine are relatively more suitable for the screening of placer gold mines. They have leading advantages in ore washing effect, screen durability and operation stability.
