The Most Common Types of Vibrating Feeders
October.09,2025
Common vibrating feeders include electromagnetic, vibrating motor, and eccentric resonant types.
Electromagnetic feeders: The vibration source consists of an electromagnet and a spring plate. A pulsed current energizes the electromagnet, causing the trough to move backward. Simultaneously, the spring plate generates a high-frequency back-and-forth motion, allowing the material to be smoothly conveyed forward.
Vibrating motor feeders: Several vibrating motors are installed at the rear of the trough. Power is applied to the motors to generate vibration.
Eccentric resonant feeders: A vibration source generated by the rotation of an unbalanced mass and a resonant rubber spring are combined, powered by a motor. This type of feeder requires less driving force, or motor power, but can achieve greater vibration. The only feeder using this type of feeder is the Kobelco RFH rubber spring feeder from Japan.
