The difference between spiral classifier and cyclone for beneficiation
Centrifugal beneficiation mainly relies on centrifugal force to speed up the sedimentation and layering speed of fine particle size. It is suitable for processing fine particle size minerals of -0.1mm, because the production cost is relatively high compared with the general gravity selection method, and it is suitable for 37~19 Micron particle size recovery works well. At present, it is mainly used to process fine-scale materials with relatively high value such as tungsten.
Classifier vs Cyclone
Since the cyclone has no moving parts, its structure is simple and easy to produce, its cost is lower, and the price will be lower than that of the classifier. However, during the operation, the cyclone also needs other auxiliary equipment, such as distributors, valves, pumps, etc., which will increase the cost.
2. Floor space
When the processing capacity is the same, the footprint of the cyclone is about 1/30-1/50 of that of the spiral classifier. It is recommended that the production site is small, and the cyclone can be selected.
3. Processing material particle size
Generally, the high weir classifier is suitable for coarse materials, and the overflow particle size diameter of the processing is greater than 0.15mm, and the sinking type is used for fine materials, generally less than 0.15mm. The cyclone is better at processing fine materials, and the classification effect is good. Generally, the particle size range of processing is 0.3-0.01 mm.
4. Efficiency and quality
In fact, in terms of efficiency and product quality, the classifier is superior, which is mainly related to its working principle. The cyclone is sensitive to the operation index. If the pressure is not up to the standard, the cyclone will change the discharge position of the material. That is to say, once the pressure is not up to the standard, the material will be stratified and flocculated, which will cause the material to fail to discharge from the discharge port. Normal discharge. But if the classification is fine material, such as 0.037mm material, there is no doubt that the classification efficiency of the cyclone is obviously higher than that of other classification equipment.
At present, the classifier has a wide range of applications, which is related to its simple and convenient operation. Its structure is relatively simple and its operation is relatively stable. Although the structure of the cyclone is relatively simple, the operation is more complicated. If it is necessary to control the ore feeding pressure, the ore concentration, and the changes in the ore particle size, it will be affected. Higher precision is required for the operation.
