Bauxite washing production line site Guizhou China

Key Equipment: Trommel Scrubber. This equipment is a slightly inclined rotating cylinder lined with liners and lifting plates. Material and water (commonly referred to as “wash water”) are fed in from one end. As the cylinder rotates, the lifting plates lift the material to a certain height before it falls, generating strong impact, abrasion, and scrubbing effects. Continuous water flow washes away the dispersed clay and fine mud, forming a slurry that is discharged through the cylinder’s screen openings. The trommel scrubber boasts a large processing capacity and high scrubbing efficiency, making it the preferred equipment for bauxite washing.

Concentrate Dewatering Screen: The underflow (concentrate slurry) from a spiral classifier or hydrocyclone has a high concentration but usually requires further dewatering.

Tailings Treatment: The overflow (tailings slurry) from the classifier has a high water content and extremely fine solid particles, making it difficult to process. The ore must first pass through a large thickener or deep cone thickener for sedimentation and concentration. Adding flocculants (such as polyacrylamide, PAM) can accelerate the sedimentation of fine sludge particles and increase the underflow concentration. The concentrated underflow can be pumped to the tailings storage, while the clarified water from the supernatant is recycled as much as possible as supplementary water for the washing process, achieving water conservation and environmental protection.
