Bar screen ore and coal grading equipment
June.10,2026

In ore mining and crushing production lines, grate screens are commonly used for pre-screening before primary crushers. By separating impurities such as soil and wood chips, as well as fine-grained materials that do not require crushing, through the grate gaps (typically between 50-300mm), the primary crusher is reduced in load, crushing efficiency is improved, and blockage caused by large pieces of material is prevented.
In construction waste recycling, heavy-duty grate screens can separate steel bars, wood, and other debris from waste concrete, improving the purity of recycled aggregates.
In coal preparation plants, grate screens are used as grading screens, dewatering screens, or desliming screens in raw coal preparation workshops for particle size classification of raw coal.
Equipment Parameters

Separation Particle Size (Screen Opening Size):
By adjusting the grate gap, the separation particle size range is typically between 60mm and 250mm (some pre-screening equipment has an adjustable gap range of 50-300mm).
Grate Length: Common standard lengths are 800mm × 2 (double row), etc.
Grate material: High manganese steel is usually used to cope with high wear.
Box material: The box of heavy equipment is mostly made of Q345B steel plate and equipped with reinforced support beams.
