Advantages of using roller screens in coal preparation plants
The main task of coal preparation plants is to sort coal, remove mineral impurities in raw coal, and improve coal utilization. The roller screen improves its surface finish to prevent coal sticking, and a heat-treated “blade”-shaped cleaning plate is provided under the screen shaft to remove the sticky coal on the side and root of the screen. The roller screen effectively prevents coal blockage.
The roller screen is generally installed before the coal crusher and is suitable for the grading and screening of granular materials such as bituminous coal, anthracite and lignite.
The roller screen is suitable for screening various granular, powdery and other bulk materials with a looseness of 0.5-2.5t/m3 and a particle size of 0-300mm.
The roller screen is composed of a certain number of special-shaped screens mounted on several parallel shafts arranged according to a certain trajectory, rotating in the same direction at a constant speed to form a rolling screen surface. When the material flows on the screen surface, it can form a material flow with equal thickness and a certain acceleration. Large pieces of material gradually move forward under the action of the rotating screen and enter the crushing equipment; small pieces of material pass through the screen holes and enter the belt conveyor, thus completing the screening work. Roller screens are suitable for screening materials such as coal, coke, ore, limestone, etc., and are widely used in the coal transportation systems of large and medium-sized thermal power plants and thermal power plants.
